Ashley Jones loves that she is able to guide and mentor young people so they can reach their highest professional potential. She came to IDEA in 2020, and finds great rewards in the opportunity to relate to scholars in a positive and encouraging way. She shares her personal rules of success with her scholars: Never sell yourself short; if you know your worth, your talents will take you a long way.

 

Ms. Jones has over 16 years of experience working in education, with expertise in early childhood education, child development, and higher education. She has worked in a number of roles, including program management, event management, admissions and recruitment, and office administration.

 

She has a Master of Science in higher education: leadership for student success and a Bachelor of Arts in sociology. Ms. Jones is a professional development specialist through the Child Development Associate Council of Professional Recognition and has two certifications in child development for preschool teaching. 

 

Ms. Jones is also an entrepreneur with two businesses focusing on fashion, art, and design. She is a certified interior decorator and will receive her home staging certification in interior design in April 2022.
