IDEA’s computer science program brought Tyrone Hopkins to the school in 2022, excited about sharing what he loves and knows about information technology with scholars so they can get a certification and college credits, and possibly find their future careers.

 

Before coming to IDEA, Mr. Hopkins was a computer science teacher at Knightdale High School in Durham, North Carolina. What he has found both challenging and rewarding about teaching is gaining the trust of his students.

 

Mr. Hopkins has a computer science degree from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, Greensboro.
