Sharri Barnes loves being an exceptional education aide because she gets the opportunity to have a great impact on the children in the community. She believes that every child deserves a chance to be successful. She took on this role in 2022 and is glad to see IDEA scholars come into school to learn, grow, and graduate.

 

In her free time, Ms. Barnes likes dancing, doing hair, and making clothes. She is grateful for her emotional support dog, Fendi, and enjoys Fendi’s companionship. 

 

Her favorite inspirational quote is " A real education will not teach you to compete: It will teach you to cooperate." - Osho. This quote, which Ms. Barnes has carried with her since her senior year, has taught her what success means. Success, she says, requires self-discipline and planning. She is the one with the power to accomplish the success she envisions for her life.
