IDEA’s Exceptional Education Department is committed to supporting scholars and families in navigating the special education process. This process includes identification and referral, evaluation, determination of eligibility, development, and implementation of an individualized education program (IEP), determination of services, and reevaluation. Approaches used to support scholars and families include:
- Ongoing parent involvement
- Multidisciplinary evaluations and eligibility determinations

- Co-taught English, math, and science classes
